The competition “100 best 100 posters Germany Austria Switzerland” is organized annually by the “Association 100 Beste Plakate” (NGO) and aims to make public outstanding achievements in the field of poster design in the three countries through a directory and more many exhibitions.
Posters of all kinds and in all printing techniques that were designed, printed and published in that year may be submitted.
The competition for the top 100 posters, already organized 20 times internationally, is an important institution for the current poster design. It is attended annually by many graphic designers, students in the field of graphic design from art universities and technical colleges, agencies, offices, commission agents and print shops.
The posters for the 2020 edition will be presented in Timișoara this time.
The selection was made from 1,973 posters submitted by 600 artists.
The selection represents a wide range of stylistic poster design from German-speaking countries and features the work of professional designers alongside those of students.
