Event details

ARChA, UPT, Timisoara

We are excited to invite you to attend our third exhibition within the Bright Cityscapes program: “????? ?? ?????????”, organized by Politehnica University Timisoara and FABER.

The exhibition features the collaborative work of three esteemed schools participating in the Bright Cityscapes program: the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at Politehnica University Timisoara (RO), Studio Technogeographies from Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), and Borders and Territories from TU Delft (NL).

The “????? ?? ?????????” explores the significance of distance through the language of design and architecture. It considers the diverse dimensions of distance not only as a physical measurement but also as an intricacy within emotional, cultural, and industrial landscapes. It represents the culmination of the Atlas of Distances workshop held in May 2023, featuring a curated selection of nine student projects. Additionally, an extensive collection of student projects will be displayed in poster format, allowing visitors to investigate the extent of exploration.

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition, on September 22, in the ????? space of UPT, to explore together design and architecture installations that shape contemporary discourses related to extraction, climate and industrial cycles.

Participants: Anamaria Bogosel, Laurin Böhm, Louella Exton, Vanessa Heider, Josh Jerome, Richard Temple Kingston, Edward-Stefan Kiss and Denisa-Anamaria Landler, Petar Kukec, Anastasia Stolearenco
