Behind the Batukizer name, you’ll find Carla and Rasmus. Batukizer has been pioneering Brazilian rare vinyl mixtapes on major worldwide channels like Le Mellotron and My Analog Journal, bringing the tunes and energy to match any jazz, electronic, or any other groove based music. Having played in clubs and festivals on several continents from Oslo to New Delhi to Paris, Berlin to London, and São Paulo, the BTKZR DJ sets are compromised of hand-picked, infectious dance tunes (mostly) on vinyl from a vast collection representing Brazilian sounds from the 60s to the 90s.

Bringing such a wide range of sounds and styles and mixing this in his own unique style, he will always find ways to surprise people and set any dancefloor on fire. You can find him playing at his “The Houseplants Show AMS” at Echobox Radio, doing solo shows at Radio Tempo Nao Para, and his monthly residency at Cornerstore. Recently he has been playing at clubs and festivals in the Netherlands and abroad such as Dekmantel Selectors, Wildeburg, Paradiso, Garage Noord, Weelde, Brilliant Corners, Unit 58,1900, Sissi’s, and more.

JAMzz is an extension of the JAZZx Festival, a project aimed at supporting artistic development and enhancing the skills of artists through various activities, including events featuring musicians, instrumentalists, and DJs organized in four locations in Timișoara (D’arc Unirii, Aethernativ, Reciproc, faber.community), masterclasses and knowledge transfer sessions, as well as cultural mediation activities.
