Krisenstab is an information and interaction design studio based in Berlin, founded by Fidel Thomet and Giacomo Nanni. The studio specialises in creating hybrid interfaces that connect people with complex archives and datasets, enabling new forms of access, exploration and understanding. Combining design research with investigative methods, Krisenstab works with cultural institutions, researchers and journalists.

Giacomo Nanni (IT, 1994) lives and works in Berlin. He studied Information Design at Design Academy Eindhoven, Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts Bologna, and attended Bergen Academy of Art and Design. Before funding Krisenstab, he developed projects for institutions and non-profit organisations including metaLAB (at) Harvard, Airwars, Het Nieuwe Instituut and the Urban Complexity Lab.

Fidel Thomet (DE/CH, 1993) lives and works in Berlin and Vienna. He studied interaction design at Zurich University of the Arts and urban futures at University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Before funding Krisenstab, Fidel worked at Urban Complexity Lab, Lucid GMbH, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Aargauer Kunsthaus Aarau and Statistik Stadt Zürich.
