In solidarity with the humanitarian crisis of war refugees in Ukraine, Marele Ecran together with Digital Cube are organizing the screening of the film “Donbass”, hosted by Faber, on Friday, March 4, at 7 p.m.
Admission to the film will be based on donations (20 lei, the minimum recommended amount). The donations raised at the screening will be transferred in full to the account of the Romanian Red Cross, intended for Ukrainian war refugees. The access will be made in compliance with the sanitary norms in force, within the available places.
Directed by the well-known Ukrainian filmmaker Serghei Loznita, “Donbass” (2018) was awarded at Cannes with the Best Direction Award in the “Un Certain Regard” section. “A war film that illustrates the absurd in a comical, hallucinatory way” (Figaro Scope). Donbass is a 13-chapter portrait of the most troubled area in Europe today, offering an immersive insight into the conflicts in the territory. The cast also includes the Romanian actor Valeriu Andriuță, and the image is signed by Oleg Mutu.
