The event aims to draw community attention to prostate cancer and mental illness in men – which claim more than 1 million men from us every year. Founded in 2012 in Sydney – Australia by Mark Hawwa, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has so far raised over $48 million for men’s health, and for 2024 the goal is to collect $6 million worldwide.

The inspiration for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was a photo of Mad Men’s main character Don Draper on a classic motorcycle wearing his finest suit. The initiator of the movement, Mark Hawwa, decided that a themed race would be a great way to combat the all-too-common stereotype of men on motorcycles.
