After a dynamic start with Raul Moro, we’re back with the second event in this year’s Musical Picnics series! Join us on May 24, from 11:00 AM, in FABER’s courtyard for another laid-back morning filled with live music.
For Musical Picnics #2, our guest is Ioan Popovici – a composer and instrumentalist from Timișoara who blends pop-rock/ska with cosmopolitan and alternative rock influences.
Just like the first edition, which brought a chill atmosphere on the grass and delicious picnic treats by AMBASADA, this one promises the same cozy vibe – under the sun and with live music.
🎤 Who is Ioan Popovici?
Throughout his career, Ioan Popovici has been part of several local alternative rock projects such as Effect, Flare, and later, Flarehead. He is now leading a new band where the main ingredients are vibe, energy, and personal inspiration.
Stylistically, his sound sits somewhere between pop-rock/ska with overseas influences and a type of alternative rock that feels grounded in our local spirit. Through his lyrical approach, he aims to bring a positive message and fresh energy to the local music scene.
