The second edition of the International Symposium “Why Culture Matters” addresses two main topics: youth involvement in protecting and promoting cultural heritage and the impact of Timișoara 2023 – European Capital of Culture title on Timișoara’s built heritage.
The first day of the event is dedicated to the future of youth in cultural heritage, exploring their opportunities for training, professional development, and engagement. On the second day, we will analyze and discuss together the impact of Timișoara 2023 – European Capital of Culture on cultural heritage, including the role of European partnerships, cross-sector collaboration, and the effects on local identity, tourism, and sustainable development. The third day is dedicated to organizing workshops for students and thematic guided tours of Timișoara.
