From the desire to return “Back to Our Sheep,” the Ciucuroaie are a gesture through which we can use local wool—collaboratively, starting with just 10 grams. The average amount of wool collected from one sheep after a single shearing is approximately 3,000 grams. During processing, the following amounts are lost: sorting -50% = 1,500g; washing -40% = 900g; carding and spinning -20% = 720g. The Ciucuroaie collection consists of 140 tassels, corresponding to the wool from two sheep. The wool has been naturally dyed using: Rubia Tinctorium root (red), Solidago flowers (yellow), Sulfur Cosmos flowers (orange), Urtica Dioica leaves (gray-green), Rudbeckia Hirta flowers (green), and Alder cones (beige).
