How to choose and equip your perfect bike?
The Dianoia Association is pleased to invite you to the inaugural event of the TM Bitza Fest workshop series, titled "How to Choose and Equip Your Perfect Bike?". The session will be led by special guest Ioan Popovici, Manager at Foto Oskar.
Activity Schedule
- 16:00 - 16:30 Networking session accompanied by snacks provided by the Ambasada team.
- 16:30 - 17:00: Practical workshop led by Ioan Popovici (Manager at Foto Oskar).
- 17:00 - 17:15: Q&A Session (Questions & Answers).
- 17:15 - 17:25: Surprise moment with Cristian Philipp, Manager of the Electroruga de Buzad Festival.
- 17:25 - 17:30: Short administrative break and equipment setup.
- 17:30 - 18:30: A relaxed ride along the Bega river, coordinated by Nick Pogranicini, representative of the VeloDots Initiative.
- Return to the starting point (FABER, Ambasada).
Route recommendations and safety
To ensure a pleasant and safe experience, participants are kindly asked to check their bike's technical condition before departure:
- Ensure that the tires are properly inflated.
- Check the functionality of the brakes and the bell.
- Lubricate the chain and check the lighting system (ensure that the batteries are charged).
Suggested Gear: We recommend wearing comfortable footwear, a jacket adapted to the weather conditions, and gloves for extra protection.
Special mentions in the registration form: Please specify if you require a bicycle provided by the organizers, if you have any dietary restrictions, or other specific needs. Our team will make every effort to accommodate your requests.
About TM Bitza Fest
TM Bitza Fest is Timișoara’s first cycling festival, a comprehensive project dedicated to the entire community: amateur or professional cyclists, people of all ages, and individuals with disabilities.
Under the motto “Be the cyclist of your generation!”, the festival runs throughout 2026 and includes interactive workshops at AMBASADA/FABER, routes along the city's bike paths, musical moments, and community events.
Organizer and Partners: The event is organized by the Dianoia Association, with the support of our partners: RO Bike Valley, Timișoara Community Foundation, Foto Oskar, AMBASADA, FABER, Medical 33 Clinic, ACAS Association, Forum for Leadership and Reconciliation, Timișoara Tour Guide, VeloDots Initiative, and Colț de Banat. Marketing strategy coordination is provided by Ioana-Rebeca Gliția.
Context and Objectives
The festival officially debuted on February 7, 2026, and will continue throughout the year, culminating in a painting exhibition by Marius Radu (Executive President of Dianoia) and a photography exhibition documenting the entire experience.
The main objectives of the initiative are:
- Promoting responsible cycling and the safe use of urban infrastructure.
- Promoting the benefits of cycling and local bike routes.
- Expanding the Cycling Community in Timișoara.
- Actively engaging citizens in sustainable urban mobility projects.
