Design Signals – Memories of Industry @Ziua Timișoarei | Timișoara City Celebration

From August 1st to 3rd, we welcome you to I. C. Brătianu Park, to talk about a less visible chapter in Timișoara's history: the chemical industry.

If you worked in a factory or grew up hearing stories from plants such as AZUR, Solventul, Spumotim, Procter & Gamble / Chimica, Victoria / Guban, Fabrica de Oțet Margina, or other local enterprises, we invite you to share your story with us. We are interested in everything: memories, photographs, objects, instruments, life stories — any trace that remains from that period.

We will have a video interview corner — you can let yourself be filmed while telling your story, if you wish.
– You can also leave us objects or images for the archive.
– Or simply come and meet us, sit in the shade, and have a chat.

All contributions — text, image, audio, video — will become part of an online digital archive, and a selection will be presented in the autumn as part of the Design Signals exhibition, alongside other materials documented by the FABER team. We will return any received objects upon the closing of the exhibition in November.

We want to build together a living archive, one in which personal voices give meaning to the industrial history of the city.

If you can't make it, you can always send us your story at comunicare@faber.ro or on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
