At the end of 2021, we went on a quest to search for a new member for our team for the position of CREATIVA Director. CREATIVA is imagined as a complex program that will identify, grow and launch new processes and concepts in the creative industries. The program will have several mapping, acceleration and activation activities for startups and entrepreneurs in the creative industries. The whole program will culminate with a large event called the “CREATIVA festival”. The CREATIVA Festival will be an annual event of Euro-regional importance whose objective is to encourage the development of the creative entrepreneurial environment, innovation and quality cultural production, in order to mediate the relationship between creative practices and better quality of life.

In order to achieve this, we were looking for an inspiring person, with proven experience in the cultural and artistic communities. We received multiple resumes from outstanding personalities, from Romania and from all over Europe. Every candidate was unique and we hope to keep the options open for further collaborations. However, for this position, two resumes caught our eyes.

After multiple interviews, we have finally completed our team not with one, but with TWO members. So now, we present to you our wonderful members which together will cover our program in the coming years: Martina Muzi and Florin Unguraș.

Martina Muzi is a designer, curator and educator working in Italy and the Netherlands. Her multidisciplinary practice extends from private to public, physical and virtual, informal and institutional, investigating how different social systems shape future scenarios of design and creative work. She is the curator of the GEO — DESIGN exhibition platform at Design Academy Eindhoven, the founder of the Stigmergy collective pedagogical research program and co-initiator of ArcHertz, an experimental sound program at Universo Assisi. As a member of the Space Caviar studio since 2014, she has led a variety of projects for the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Vitra Design Museum, the Interort Biennial in Kortrijk and the M + Visual Culture Museum in Hong Kong. She also collaborated on the annual production of large-scale exhibitions at Atelier Clerici and ALCOVA during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Florin Unguras (or Ufo, as he is known by friends), beyond the impressive collection of vinyls and CDs, has over 20 years of experience in organizing and coordinating cultural events and companies. Founder and director of the TMbase project, consultant in the development and implementation of the Electroruga and Revolution festivals, and associate in the Setup, Molly Malone and Amplificat clubs.

Together, they will draw the CREATIVA business plan, curate the annual FABER events calendar and coordinate the team to achieve the target objectives. We wish them a hearty welcome and we look forward to working together.
